Shabbat is just lovely for stopping and taking time to do all of the things you had been putting off during those crazy weeks when you don’t have any time at all. As you can see, I had a little fun with the site layout. Actually the inspiration came from somewhere else, but I coded it and made it readable and made it mine. So I like it!
I also stumbled across my old xanga. Well, I knew it was there the whole time, obviously, but I took off the automatic redirect that gets you from there to here so that I could actually go back and read things. Even though I was a little more shallow and scatterbrained back then… well, it’s not by much! I was actually a much better blogger over there. I don’t know why I withhold so much more on this site, but I’ll try and stop. Back then, I had something interesting to say nearly every day! And so it stays for archival purposes… and for laughing hysterically. I’ll try to get the xanga before that up as well… if I can log in. Xanga’s been giving me problems today.
So let’s see. This weekend we had some friends up from Texas, and it’s been fun hanging out with them. We watched both Zorro movies within the past week. I know, I know, late as usual, but hey, my parents are strict about movies!
Hey, wait! I have actual news! My manager told me that I might be getting a raise starting Monday… a fifty cent raise! I’ve only been there for about two and a half months, so this is pretty good. I may complain about the hours and all, by the way, but I honestly do like my job. And besides, I have pretty much normal hours this week, mostly eight-ish to four. Wish I had that much luck through Sukkot!
Tomorrow after work I’m running to Walmart and getting another ethernet cord for my poor computer. That’s pretty much what connects my computer to our home “network” so that I have internet access. The problem is that my cord is so worn out and half broken from being unrolled and rerolled (it’s not long enough to plug it in permanantly) and the tab that keeps it in my computer is broken. So I’m going to get a new one, a longer one, and so then I won’t get disconnected every five to ten minutes. It’s awful!
I need to finish my laundry so I can go to bed!

General Updates
I know, I know. Don’t even say it.
Happy Sukkot! Huh, it’s been a pretty uneventful sukkot thus far… which I guess isn’t a bad thing. I’ve been back and forth between the work world and the Sukkot world all week. Tonight I’m closing.
I’ve been getting back into my writing again! Hooray! Little by little I’ve been dragging out this binder or that file, picking up a pen, and actually writing. I’m also debating starting my journaling up again, for all of the stuff I can’t say here on my actual website.
And speaking of my actual website, what can I do to get you all back again, reading? Be more interesting? Write more? What?
One of my best friends turned twenty the other day, and she’s just four months older than me. Of course, that got me to thinking. In four months, I’m no longer going to be a teenager. I mean, I know that, I always knew that, and I’m happy to get out of that stereotypical age group and on to bigger and better things, but still! It’s like the day I turned eighteen… I wanted to go to the park and act like I was eight again. I suppose there’s a little bit of Peter Pan in all of us that just doesn’t want to ever grow up. Bahh, who cares, I have four months until my birthday and I’m already deliberating it now. That’s the problem with me. I analyze long before it ever needs to be thought about.
I got my hair cut the other day! It’s not too much shorter– only like four or five inches cut off — but it’s been relayered in a way that makes it thinner, which is good. I’m happy with it, anyhow.
Oh! And some of you may have seen the new section I’m adding to the site — Dance! It’s going to have a lot of Davidic dance resources along with a bunch of dance steps and the music that goes with it. Yes, music too! There’s been a couple times I’ve plotted a full-out website with dance steps and resources and such, sometimes with somebody else to plot with, but it never panned out. I guess having it as a section of this site will make it easier to maintain… I hope! So keep your eyes on that section and I’ll let you know when it’s finished.
Have a great Sukkot!
