Haha… FAIL!
So “blog every day” has been officially removed from my 2009 resolutions. At this point, “blog every month” would be something to write home about.
I discovered a new show a week ago (and have already gobbled up every episode released, which is only 10, but still nerdy). It’s called “Fringe” and is written by J. J. Abrams, the mastermind behind the best show ever created, Lost. It’s got all the same mystery, more questions than answers, a very good-looking guy, mad suspensful moments, a healthy amount of gross-out factor, and a stray Lost reference for good measure (oh yes, passenger 108). I’m absolutely hooked, and so if you’re into that stuff, you can go watch full episodes on imdb. Just look up Fringe and go under the episode guide.
The 10-second basic idea of this show is that the FBI starts investigation something called The Pattern. The man in charge of this special team (Abaddon from Lost!! My gosh!) puts it this way: “Someone out there’s experimenting, only using the whole world as their lab.” One such incident is a woman who concieves and carries to full term in the space of maybe a half hour, and gives birth to a child who ages to eighty and dies in another hour and a half. Weird stuff. Anyhow, the only man who might understand what is going on is a mad scientist who was locked up in a mental institution seventen years previous, and the only way to get to him is through his estranged (and gorgeous and snarky) son who is in Iraq doing… who knows? Anyhow, it’s a really good show, so if you’re into all that, go for it.
As for me… I’ve been surviving again this month. I get like that in the wintertime… a touch antisocial. I’ll be back. I’ve got a show to watch!
